At Banda Terráquea, we believe in transparency. This Cookie Policy explains how and why we use cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our online store, and how your interactions help support the Radio Terra Project.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They help the website recognize your device, remember your preferences, and keep your shopping session active.

2. How WooCommerce Uses Cookies

Our store is powered by WooCommerce. To keep track of your cart data, WooCommerce makes use of 3 cookies. No personal information is stored within these cookies:

  • woocomm_cart_hash: Helps WooCommerce know when the cart data/contents change.

  • woocommerce_items_in_cart: Helps WooCommerce know how many items are in your cart.

  • wp_woocommerce_session_: Contains a unique code for each customer so that the system knows where to find the cart data in the database for each user.

These cookies are strictly necessary for the store to function properly. Without them, you would not be able to put items in your cart or complete your donation purchase.

3. Other Cookie Categories We Use

  • WordPress Essential Cookies: If you create an account or log in to our store, WordPress uses cookies to verify who you are and remember your login status.

  • Performance and Analytics Cookies: These help us understand how fans interact with our website (e.g., which pages are visited most). All data is anonymous and directly supports our mission to keep administrative costs low for Projeto Rádio Terra.

  • Functional Cookies: These remember choices you make (such as your preferred language or currency) to provide a more smooth experience.

4. Third-Party Cookies

When you shop with us, you might also interact with secure third-party services that set cookies on your device:

  • Payment Gateways: Standard secure processors (like Stripe or PayPal) set cookies to safely manage your checkout transaction.

  • Video Platforms: Embedded media players (like YouTube) that allow you to watch Banda Terráquea performances and Projeto Rádio Terra classroom updates directly on our store.

5. Your Choices and Controls

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline them if you prefer.

Please note that if you choose to disable or block cookies, essential features of our WooCommerce store (such as the shopping cart and checkout process) will not function, and you will not be able to complete your purchase.
